The Supervisor, Engineering Services (Distribution Portfolio) works in conjunction with Business Services to ensure accurate and timely planning, forecasting and execution for distribution investments. This supervisor assumes a leadership role through closely interacting with WV/MD Operations, support personnel, business services, and corporate support organizations. This position can report onsite to either corporate office in Fairmont, WV, or Williamsport, MD. Responsibilities include: Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety. Coordinating and supervising the daily activities of the WV/MD Portfolio team, including Engineers and Business Analysts; making decisions guided by policies, procedures, and the Company's investment plan. Managing the capital portfolio throughout the year to ensure accurate and on target month-to-month and year end distribution investments. Maintaining the consistency of portfolio data between RPA database, UIPlanner, and Qlikview; identifies gaps in work resources and and supports the contractor request process. Understanding and applying Tariff criteria for billable work to project forecasts. Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Portfolio Management and Director, Engineering Services, on the progress of projects, and advising on issues that could impair the successful completion of projects. Reviewing proposed project estimates for completeness and accuracy; comparing actual cost to estimated cost to improve forecasting process year over year. Consistent and timely monthly reporting; support regulatory filings with thorough documentation around portfolio planning, prioritization and forecasting. Analyzing complex issues and developing actionable recommendations. Supporting the Work Management organization on questions/issues with current and upcoming design work and various Company priorities. Supporting storm restoration efforts, including performing duties of Hazard Coordinator when needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 5 years related work experience is required. Related work experience includes, but is not limited to: engineering design, reliability, system planning, substation construction and maintenance, distribution construction and maintenance, right of way acquisition, asset management, new business, joint use, etc. OR Bachelor's degree in Business / Finance and minimum 5 years related work experience are required. Related work experience includes process/project development, planning/analysis, and performance reporting. Advanced degree is a plus. Previous supervisory experience preferred In-depth knowledge of information systems such as Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word required; working knowledge of SAP, CREWS, SharePoint, and GIS preferred Customer request work scheduling (CREWS) navigation skills a plus, including knowledge of work request design requirements, material reservation criteria, CREWS billing categories, date management and lock down procedure Working knowledge or the ability to learn the following: GIS; Construction and Material Standards and company's Distribution Policies & Procedures.
