JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Supervisor with a license in Early Childhood Education to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves managing 5 Infant Toddler programs, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring licensing standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BC Certificate to Practice (ECE and ITE will only be accepted)
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is Mandatory
  • Strong understanding of special education principles and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Time management skills to balance multiple tasks
  • Classroom experience that demonstrates effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
    Hours will be set shift from 9:00am - 5:30pm.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all programs develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity among children.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learning needs, including those of children with disabilities.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, caregivers, and staff to support children’s educational journeys.
  • Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by engaging in programs every day.
