Job Description Supervises and coordinates the staff and daily operations of the Neurovascular department. Ensures adherence to quality standards, related policies and procedures, and regulations in the performance of EEG testing. Job Responsibility   * Promotes EEG department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. * Leads the activities of assigned EEG team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives. * Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff. * Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner. * Prioritizes, schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational service and meet department goals. * Supervises staff in the performance of standard and specialty EEG-related tests and procedures. * Identifies staff training needs and conducts in-service training, as required. * Educates staff in difficult or new techniques and equipment. * Maintains department supply and equipment inventory. * Investigates and makes recommendations regarding new equipment or supplies. * Troubleshoots equipment issues and performs minor repairs, as needed. * Coordinates service arrangements for major mechanical issues with vendors. * Participates in evaluating and implementing quality control/performance improvement related practices. * Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification   * Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. * Current EEG Technician Certification, and Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed. * 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required. * Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG.T) by ABRET, highly preferred *Additional Salary Detail  The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
