WHAT YOU’LL BRING

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A current ‘C’ Class Manual Driver’s Licence
  • A valid WA Electrical Workers Licence
  • High Voltage Switching Operator Certificate
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Completion of the Statutory Supervisor Legal Exam
  • Approved Risk Management Training: BSBWHS411 and RIIRIS402E or BSBWHS414

In this role as an Electrical Supervisor of our Greater Hope Downs operations, you’ll provide hands-on leadership in the safe and efficient execution of electrical activities at the site level. You’ll play a key role in aligning team performance with operational goals, while fostering a culture that celebrates diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and mutual respect.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible for :

  • Manage key safety investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and implement corrective and preventive action
  • Appointment as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines)Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26
  • Appointment as Electrical Supervisor under WHS (Mines)Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including statutory obligations
  • Ensure compliance to relative legislation, including maintaining statutory electrical inspections and records as required by WHS
  • Organise and manage the execution of Utilities Electrical work performed
  • Responsible for team members training and compliance
  • Manage Utilities Electrical activities to maximise productivity while minimizing cost and environmental impact
  • Plan daily work and complete daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
  • Use SAP to raise and approve notifications, maintain team capacities, and ensure maintenance activity information is captured
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Electrical Maintenance personnel
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to operations while maintenance and improvements are being performed
