Responsibilities

An opportunity has become available for a Supervisor EU NE in North Ryde, NSW for Downer’s Energy & Utilities business unit reporting to the Project Manager. The Supervisor EU NE is responsible for leading a construction team comprising internal resources and contractors, in the safe and efficient delivery of the allocated programs of works within time and cost budgets whilst managing risks, to ensure safety and quality objectives are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as:

  • Ensure all sites are setup according to Downer standards and SWMS, workers are inducted and all permits are in place prior to work commencing
  • Manage onsite construction activity for allocated project/site, ensuring effective management of resources to deliver projects on-time, to required quality standards
  • Provide interface to the public, local and regulatory authority, utilities, and other third-party stakeholders
  • Interface with client Project Managers and their 3rd parties to progress build and resolve constraints
  • Manage plant requirements as required, complete plant inspections and review lift plans
  • Provide clear direction for the team and through clear plans, communication and consistent feedback
