We now have exciting opportunity available for a Supervisor Fabrication to join our Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Fulltime basis. Reporting directly to the Field Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a team of welders and workshop-based staff whose role is to undertake all fabricate services for the SA networks. Key Responsibilities Supervision of workshop & field-based welding resources, including Live line Welders, Welding Co-Ordinator, Fabrication Technicians, Welding Quality Assurance/ Inspector and Welding Apprentices Management of Compressed Natural Gas Trailers/Bottles, small plant and equipment General fabrication management, including fabrication services for parties external to Networks, with potential to provide fabrication services to APA Transmission & Major Projects and other parties external to APA Work closely with Capital Delivery and Operations business units to ensure required fabrication/Installation works are on schedule and resources are being assigned to correct priorities Ensure a safe, clean and efficient environment and conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments. is maintained within the workshop Your background Strong gas industry experience Demonstrated ability and knowledge in workshop fabrication and maintenance as well as planning and coordination of workshop activities Effective leader who can manage internal employees and contractors Able to understand and interpret construction drawings, codes, legislation, regulations, standards and company policies Be available for out of hours work when required including for emergency situations About the Team Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
