JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SUPERVISOR, FOOD AND BEVERAGE

This role is responsible for overseeing various Member Dining areas and Private events in reference to management, maintenance and supplies. Dining areas include the Creekside Bistro, Waterside Lounge, Dockside dining, Poolside Bar and Grill as well as our Special Event venue. Primary responsibility is accountability of member and guest experience and assuring a culture of hospitality and teamwork. Supervises and trains the service staff; manages budgetary restraints; develops/implements programs to increase sales and membership satisfaction

· Ability to lift 25-100 lbs.
· While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time.
· While performing this job, the employee will be exposed to sunlight, heat, wet and/or humid conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

SUPERVISOR, FOOD AND BEVERAGE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the daily shift execution and overseeing service in the various scheduled areas including restaurants, bars, club events and banquets.
· Responsible for assisting with recruiting/ screening/onboarding and orientation for all new Food and Beverage employees.
· Responsible for an effective orientation and training for new staff and develops ongoing training programs for existing staff to maintain the highest of standards.
· Maintains high level of service by constantly training, coaching, and providing support to employees while monitoring job performance daily.
· Responsible for ordering beverage items and supplies for food and beverage operations.
· Ensures all Food and Beverage outlets adhere to state and local health codes.
· Responsible for working with the Food and Beverage Manager on employee reviews and performance issues as required.
· Ensures monthly beverage inventories for all products within the outlets is counted and reported.
· Ensures quarterly all supplies within the food and beverage outlets are counted and reported (i.e. Silverware, Glassware, Chafers, Salt and Pepper etc.)
· Greets Member and guests and establishes a positive, professional rapport.
· Accepts Members complaints and works with the Food and Beverage Manager to provide solutions to achieve Member satisfaction in a professional and timely manner.
· Works closely with the Leadership team to ensure that member and guest expectations are met.
· Inspects and oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of all dining areas. Reports maintenance issues to Management.
· Promotes a positive work environment and positive team atmosphere with all management and staff.
· Carries out By-Laws and Policies as set out by the Board of Directors.
· All other duties within your respective department are assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager and/or the General Manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Primary duty is leadership, however, will be required to fill in as a Server, Runner or Bartender as required to relieve and back up staff during peak hours or when short staffed.
· Implements and supports all Club initiatives and programs and works with all departments to ensure exemplary customer service and adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintains knowledge of other Clubs and industry trends.
Skills, Qualifications and Education:
· High School education, postsecondary education would be an asset.
· A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a high-volume dining experience.
· A minimum of four (4) years of personnel supervision or management, preferably in a Private Members Club/ Hospitality/ Service Industry related environment.
· Proven experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as providing overall customer service.
· Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Serve Safe Certification.
· Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills.
· Proven ability to effectively build and foster a ream environment.
· Must be of Legal Age to service alcoholic beverages.
· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with others.
· Ability to prioritize, anticipate situations, and take quick action.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and recommend/implement effective solutions.
· Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
· Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
