PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises, completes human resources activities, leads daily activities, and manages performance of a diverse team of operations employees for the Company’s Apex Operations Center.
  • Manages transactions with internal and external customers, local and state officials, and trade allies to ensure that customers’ needs are consistently met in a safe, timely, and profitable manner
  • Resolves customer inquiries and complaints about DENC regulated and non-regulated work
  • Ensures North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC), Department of Transportation (DOT), environmental, and company standards are followed consistently as company personnel perform natural gas emergency response, meter installation, and other regulated duties to provide and maintain a safe and reliable system
  • Leads emergency response activities including emergency response, repair and restoration of natural gas service in a timely and safe manner; rotates as supervisor on-call
  • Oversees, directs, and provides technical assistance in order to develop and maintain a knowledgeable, diverse workforce.
  • Takes steps to ensure daily activities are aligned with Corporate Strategic Initiatives
  • Prepares and leads regular employee meetings including business review, safety, and environmental updates
  • Responsible for scheduling maintenance and repair of company vehicles and facilities
  • Develops, reviews, monitors budget goals and employee productivity
