QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Amazing Guest service skills with a “can do” attitude
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Post-Secondary education in hospitality and/or hotel or suitable combination of education and work related experience
  • Computer literacy in MS Office; POS experience
  • Experience providing leadership to team members
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
  • The ability to successfully obtain or maintain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
    Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. The hours of work will be based on guest and business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Supervising team members; assigning shift work tasks
  • Monitoring cash outs and forwarding discrepancy reports to management/accounting
  • Completing shift reports for management and for the next shift
  • Assisting with monthly inventory count and forwarding inventory reports to management
  • Assisting in maximizing the revenue of the restaurant while minimizing operating costs
  • Offering food and beverage expertise to internal and external guests
  • Taking guests’ orders and making recommendations
  • Preparing beverages, as needed
  • Serving the guests and checking to ensure satisfaction
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
