Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Hospitality Assistant to join our team in Hertford Heath, United Kingdom. As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience by providing top-notch service and support across various aspects of our operations.

  • Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Assist with food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving meals, and clearing tables
  • Support event setup and breakdown, ensuring spaces are prepared according to specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, event spaces, and service stations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
  • Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth overall operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage operations preferred
  • Excellent product knowledge of food and beverages
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and organizational abilities
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Good presentation skills and professional appearance
