Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-functioning environment for clients, staff, and visitors. This position provides leadership and oversight across several essential service areas including: dietary, environmental services, equipment oversight, risk prevention/management, and building/facility issues. The Operations Supervisor ensures that all areas function efficiently, remain in compliance with regulatory standards, and align with the mission of House of Mercy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serve as an active member of the House of Mercy leadership team, collaborating across departments to align operations with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Supervise, guide, and direct dietary services to ensure that meals are prepared and served according to health, safety and nutrition guidelines. Monitor dietary staff performance, training and scheduling. Supervise, guide and direct environmental services staff performance, training and scheduling. Oversee daily housekeeping and sanitation practices across all facilities. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in a human services related discipline from an accredited program, required. CADC certification, preferred. Valid Driver’s License required, must meet Mercy’s Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to drive per Iowa state law. One (1) year supervisory experience, preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a human services or related field, such as healthcare, behavioral health, social services, or nonprofit administration. Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within 30 days of employment.
