Responsibilities: Prepare and provide accurate and timely detailed information for CFO report (primarily on the financial profit and loss account, summary balance sheet and cash flow Assist with the monthly consolidation process in a timely, accurate and controlled manner and distributing reporting communications to the internal stakeholders. Prepares accounting memo for the accounting treatment related to revenue recognition in alignment with IFRS 15. Provide support on adhoc projects that rely on Group Reporting expertise including projects to advance financial system capabilities Dealing satisfactorily with questions and providing speedy and reliable answers. Develop an expert knowledge of the Hyperion financial reporting systems Handles hedge, FX spot deals and analysis of FX on a monthly basis Covers acquisitions, mergers/divisionalisations and disposals of business and/or products. Perform value-in-use valuation for business/products Supports budget and forecast submissions -Involved in Purchase Price Allocation preparation and Acquisition memos Assist in file preparation for Investment and impairment review of Capdev Investment projects. Prepare disclosures for Financial Statements. Carry out annual review of Acquired Intangible assets and Goodwill. Manage Group reporting activities considered as with Key SOX control procedures. Ensuring the control is successful in preventing or detecting any material misstatements. Has been part of Elsevier SOX compliance management testing program for 3years. Independently testing assigned process and documenting the test procedures. Ensuring the control is successful in preventing or detecting any material misstatements. Assist in audit requests and queries Data reconciliation between systems Qualifications: Must have degree in Accounting, CPA is preferred. Must have 3-5 years’ work experience. Minimum of 1-2 years supervisory experience. Excellent MS Excel skills. Experience with major enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP or PeopleSoft. Experience in medium to large company environment. Experience in business control is a plus Experience in large multinational company preferred Good English communication skills required.
