Business Unit: Parts Service & Technical Division: Parts Work Location: Parts Center - Davenport, IA Location Shift: 1st Workstyle: Onsite Career Level: 4 Job Grade: Exempt-2 Job Purpose Warehouse Supervisors oversee critical functions of the distribution network that supports supplying Honda and Acura’s dealer body with Automobile, Motorcycle and Power Equipment Parts. The warehouse supervisor position is responsible for handling the distribution center’s processes to include receiving inbound freight, stocking, picking, packing, shipping and inventory control functions. The Supervisor is responsible for setting the standard of performance for workgroup associates and manages results based on departmental and business objectives. Key Accountabilities Production Planning and Scheduling Operations Staffing and Development Quality Control Operational Efficiency and Productivity Employee Relations Facility Equipment Qualifications, Experience, and Skills High School Diploma or General Equivalency Associate’s degree or equivalent job-related experience 3+ years in a job-related field with increasing responsibility 1-3 years Supervision/Leadership experience required in related field Previous exemplary performance in a job-related field may partially compensate for lack of supervisory experience Working Conditions Position requires candidate to work in warehouse environment, and may require frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of parts weighing up to 25-50 lbs. Position will require frequent standing and walking for long durations, some overtime will be as required by workload. Travel 10-15%. Regarding shifts and start times, Warehouse Supervisors are required to be flexible and are expected to rotate to manage various groups within the operation throughout the course of their career. Therefore, a supervisor may work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift at any given time for any length of time based on the needs of the business and for their own development.
