Job Description Supervises and coordinates the imaging operations and technologists and their daily activities, of one modality. Ensures assignments are completed and maintains quality patient care. Job Responsibility Promotes Imaging Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. Leads the activities of assigned Imaging Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives. Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner. Prioritizes, schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational performance; ensures adequate inventory of supplies. Organizes and guides staff towards service line/department goals. Analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes. Maintains staff credentials and continuing education credits. Follows guidelines set forth by ACR and DOH. Ensures staff adherence to Quality and Infection Control guidelines and equipment maintenance according to state and federal guidelines; also maintains related accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control standards within modality. Troubleshoots mechanical equipment issues and ensures compliance to manufacturer specifications. Schedule equipment maintenance and repair. Participates in developing and delivering training related to modality. Participates in evaluating and implementing Performance Improvement related practices. Functions as a technologist and responds to emergency calls, as necessary. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound Technology program, required. Current Radiology Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in New York State required, and current ARRT registration required OR CNMT registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed. OR Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification required (no licensure requirement for ultrasound), plus specialized certifications as needed. 3-5 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership experience, required. 2 yrs Interventional Radiology experience preferred. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
