Job Description Supervises and coordinates the imaging operations and technologists and their daily activities, of one modality. Ensures assignments are completed and maintains quality patient care. Job Responsibility * Promotes Imaging Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. * Leads the activities of assigned Imaging Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives. * Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner. * Prioritizes, schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational performance; ensures adequate inventory of supplies. * Organizes and guides staff towards service line/department goals. * Analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes. * Maintains staff credentials and continuing education credits. * Follows guidelines set forth by ACR and DOH. Ensures staff adherence to Quality and Infection Control guidelines and equipment maintenance according to state and federal guidelines; also maintains related accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control standards within modality. * Troubleshoots mechanical equipment issues and ensures compliance to manufacturer specifications. * Schedule equipment maintenance and repair. * Participates in developing and delivering training related to modality. * Participates in evaluating and implementing Performance Improvement related practices. * Functions as a technologist and responds to emergency calls, as necessary. * Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification * Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound Technology program, required. * Current Radiology Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in New York State required, and current ARRT registration required OR CNMT registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed. * OR Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification required (no licensure requirement for ultrasound), plus specialized certifications as needed. * 3-5 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership experience, required. * ARRT (MR)(CT) Dual Certification Strongly Preferred. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
