YOUR ROLE
As an Inventory Control Supervisor, your primary goal is to ensure accurate stock levels for our customers. Working within a LEAN philosophy, you analyze and identify opportunities to further optimize inventory management processes. You act as an advisor to your manager on the optimal storage and organization of stock. Your role is to translate the data in the WMS into the things we actually see in the operation. At a tactical level, you identify opportunities and bottlenecks in inventory management. These insights serve as the foundation for improvement project, which you will implement in collaboration with the operation. With a proactive and initiating role, you contribute to a more efficient warehouse operation, ensuring continuous improvement processes.
On a daily basis, you manage a team of six high-performing Inventory Controllers. They operate on the warehouse floor, ensuring that our team members can perform their tasks as efficiently as possible. You play a key role in their personal and professional development.
You work closely with the warehouse operation and supervision, which means you regularly put on your safety shoes and can be found on the warehouse floor. In this dynamic environment, you serve as a point of contact for both colleagues and customers. Your working hours can be flexibly scheduled within office hours, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As part of the Operations Support team, you support two key customers at our warehouse campus in Roosendaal. You maintain close contact with various internal departments and colleagues, including Warehouse Supervisors, the Contract Manager and the Inventory Control team. These colleagues handle daily bottlenecks and operational challenges, while you take on a supervising role. Your focus is on translating recurring obstacles into long-term, structural solutions. By analyzing historical and current customer data, you identify patterns and opportunities for continuous improvement.
