DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

· Seven (7) years’ experience in shipping, receiving, expediting, warehouse operations, and import/export operations including three (3) years in a supervisory position;
· Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field;
· Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, ISM CPSM) is an asset;
· Practical knowledge of shipments processing in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements; and
· Proficiency in using SAP and ERP software; strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, shipping companies, and the Site Supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials to consolidation locations and the Goose Mine site;
· Supervise the receipt products at the consolidated warehouse and coordinate their efficient delivery to the site, ensuring inspection and quality control at transit points, and communicating any damages to end users immediately;
· Receive, inspect, and manage the delivery of materials from consolidation warehouses to the site, expediting critical shipments and communicating any schedule changes;
· Prepare and review customs documentation to ensure compliance with import/export regulations, resolving clearance issues with customs brokers and freight carriers;
· Track shipment statuses, promptly communicating delays or discrepancies to end users and ensuring clear coordination with logistics partners;
· Conduct quality inspections at transit points, report damages to end users, monitor insurance claims, and create reports to analyze and improve logistics operations;
· Optimize freight costs by reviewing transportation rates, negotiating contracts, sourcing reliable freight forwarders, and managing supplier selection;
· Maintain accurate records by entering transportation and receiving data into the ERP system and updating logistics documentation such as packing lists, invoices, and manifests;
· Develop KPIs, evaluate the performance of logistics contractors and warehouses, recommend corrective actions, and support the achievement of departmental goals; and
· Monitor logistics systems, propose process improvements, and assist in establishing and implementing long-term departmental objectives, policies, and procedures.
