QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role
  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Practical mining experience working as a Light Vehicle Fitter or Mechanic
  • Minimum ‘C’ Class unencumbered Manual Driver’s License
  • Excellent fault-finding skills with the ability to carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Failure analysis concepts and exposure.
  • Senior First Aid certificate (desirable)
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of light vehicle mechanics and apprentices
  • Oversee maintenance scheduling and ensure timely servicing of the light vehicle fleet
  • Conduct fault diagnostics, repairs, and quality control inspections
  • Maintain safety, compliance, and operational standards across all workshop activity
  • Liaise with suppliers, site supervisors, and other departments to ensure fleet availability
  • Manage maintenance records, stock control, and reporting systems
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
