The Supervisor Maintenance has oversight for mechanical/electrical maintenance activities over multi-shift operation, in support of Cartamundi Dallas long/short-term objectives. Initiates and executes the preventative maintenance schedule throughout the Dallas Site, collaborating with Production Planning to maximize production. Ensure staffing requirements and skill sets meet the production operation support needs. Site Champion of the Total Productive Management (TPM) Program and CMMS (UpKeep). Responsible for spare parts inventories and non-stock items. Schedule and manage vendor activities and work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing on special projects and new equipment installations. Works with Plant Safety to ensure a safe working environment is maintained and all activities are conducted according to safe work practices and company requirements. Responsible for and responds to facilities maintenance emergencies throughout the Dallas Site during off-shift hours or special circumstances, as needed. Manages the daily activities of both the Facilities Maintenance functions, and Machine Shop functions within Dallas.

What you’ll do as a Supervisor Maintenance:

  • Direct/supervise Maintenance Department in the multi-shift operation
  • Responsible for Scheduling all PM and Reactive Maintenance Activities
  • Maintain and Improve the Implementation and Utilization of the plant CMMS (UpKeep)
  • Manage tooling/spare parts inventories
  • Expedite non-stock parts to maintain equipment
  • Schedule/track material handling equipment repair
  • Execute new equipment installation and processes
  • Manage Dallas Site plant shutdown and coordinate activities/processes
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and other departments on project execution
  • Conduct safety observations, inspections, analysis, and safety meetings
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional TPM Teams throughout the Dallas Site
  • Support, lead and/or participate in Kaizen events cross-functionally throughout the Dallas Site
  • Schedule equipment safety activities/repairs throughout the Dallas Site
  • Monitor Plant Maintenance (MRO) spending and provide justifications as needed for high impact items.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions & approve invoiced payments as directed or required
  • Drive success with direct reports through coaching/communication, management of performance, individual development, and reward and recognition
  • Develop and maintain effective functional and cross-functional relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Schedule and oversee vendor activities for production equipment and facilities maintenance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This Supervisor Maintenance position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
