QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a unionized manufacturing and production environment, with a minimum of two (2) years as a direct supervisor of a team;
  • Experience in cleaning and sanitation would be considered an asset;
  • Bilingualism in French and English.
  • Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety standards, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and ISO standards;
  • Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement principles and methodology tools for problem solving and leadership performance;
  • Intermediate computer and database skills; SAP is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Employee management, including scheduling, absences, staffing, training, evaluation and development, and all other aspects related to managing a production team in a unionized environment.
  • Support efficiency and key performance indicators.
  • Understand and manage the manufacturing process including mixing, filling and packaging.
  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures or shutdowns that have resulted in downtime.
  • Manage overall product quality to meet all standards and specifications.
  • Possibility of additional Saturday shifts, depending on operational needs.
  • Generate production reports.
  • Work in synergy with other departments (logistics, maintenance, quality).
