Supervisor, Manufacturing Job Summary: The manufacturing supervisor position is responsible for supervising employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Direct supervision of hourly employees for the assigned area/shift. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of operators to meet production schedules in accordance with traveler instructions, specs and quality standards. Review production schedules, verify build instructions, materials and tooling requirements. Plan and organize resources to meet schedules daily and forward schedules. Work with Planning team to coordinate subcontract services. Verify set-ups performed by engineering, leads/operators to achieve optimum quality standards. Assign tasks to Process Lead operators and coordinates the workflow. Re-enforce company policies and work procedures to promote a safe working environment. Ensure procedure adherence and achievement of quality standards. Work with Product Engineering to support new product introductions, developments, and yield improvement. Works with engineering to manage operator training and documentation. Coordination with Maintenance for preventative, unplanned maintenance and operator daily maintenance. Drives continuous improvement activities. Reinforces cleanroom protocol including gowning and ESD practices. Qualifications: High school diploma; Degree in a technical or relevant field will be an advantage. 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the following are highly desirable: supervision, coaching, process improvement, and production planning. Fluent skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Great attention to detail and well organized. Ability to manage through complex situations. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. ERP fundamental knowledge; preferably SAP. Broad range of materials knowledge and manufacturing based on highly regulated or quality conscious standards. Preferred experience in ISO certification and lean manufacturing deployment. Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment. The Salary Range for this position is $70,000 – $113,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
