EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma/GED is required. Four-year degree is preferred.
  • Five years of relevant experience of which two should have leadership responsibilities.
  • Pharmaceutical background preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and 5s principals is advantageous.
    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must meet applicable DEA security clearance requirements.
    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Safety glasses, gloves, lab coats, safety shoes, dust masks, and covers for hair and facial hair.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate job expectations to employees, provide clear direction for the shift, complete shift planning, monitor employee performance, and evaluate job results.
  • Mentoring and counseling for employees
  • Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Developing personal growth opportunities for self and others
  • Implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems
  • Encouraging corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and promoting a spirit of collaboration within and between departments.Completes production plan by leading personnel
  • Strong technical writing skills are needed for elaborate and extensive quality deviations and customer responses.
  • Setting priorities and crafting team momentum to achieve the established goals.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and implementing organization and cGMP regulation standards
  • Ensures operation of equipment by placing work tickets for repairs and coordination with maintenance.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
  • Builds and revises systems, batch paperwork, and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change and improvements.
