Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Supervisor at our new opening, Mare Street Market King’s Cross. As a Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, and leading a team of dedicated staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the bar and restaurant, including: managing the smooth running of service independently; opening and closing procedures; ensuring cleanliness; and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and resolving any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver high-quality service, uphold company standards and act as an example of exemplary staff conduct
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage.
  • Monitor and maintain beverage quality, ensuring consistency and compliance with recipes and standards.
  • Handle card transactions accurately, reconcile daily sales and complete daily briefing reports
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for increasing revenue and enhancing the guest experience
  • Uphold a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering teamwork, respect, and maintaining staff well-being.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance issues promptly and following up to ensure resolution.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cocktail preparation, wine service, and menu offerings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and staff at all levels.
  • Proven organisational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and a genuine interest in the food and beverage industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or related field are desirable but not essential.
