Under the directions of Manager and Director of Service, coordinates a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, personnel technical activities to ensure efficient operation of all Microbiology sections. Initiates new procedures as well as studies, refines and modifies established methods and techniques. Serves as a resource to the Leadership Team. Addresses complaints regarding laboratory functions and work with the Leadership team as well as staff to resolve identified problems. Provides direction and supervision to Lead Technologists. Provides limited administrative direction to Technical Specialist. This is a full-time day shift position 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Preferred Criteria ASCP certification Supervisory experience Required Criteria 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with Master’s degree or 1 years of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the NY Education Department Bachelor's degree in medical technology or acceptable field from an accredited school or equivalent.
