Job Summary: The Supervisor-NutriSrvcs Warehouse is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Responsible for ensuring that food and supplies entering the Loma Linda University Health system do not present a hazard to its consumers. Responsible to accurately check in orders from different vendors. Responsible for putting supplies in proper storage locations while rotating old stock up front and new stock in back. Responsible for filling all requested stock orders sent from Nutritional Services and other departments. Responsible for overseeing of order selection, product replenishment, order loading, ensuring safety and security of the warehouse. Performs according to policies and procedures provided by management. Position requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations of local weather conditions and on selecting environment (Dry, Cooler, Freezer). The Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision to ensure that the operations within Nutritional Services are compliant with regulatory standards, and also assists with employee performance evaluations, handling human resource functions, time and attendance, and staff scheduling. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum two years of experience working with and managing food inventory required. Minimum six months experience using a forklift, drive picker and/or power pallet jack is preferred. Minimum one year supervisory experience required, healthcare environment preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the hazards that food products can pose. Knowledge of the HACCP procedures. Broad knowledge of department operations and an ability to work proficiently in multiple areas. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/Troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
