Collins Aerospace is looking for a hands-on Supervisor of Brazing and Operations Training Lead for our Brazonics team within Mission Systems. You will coordinate staff and workflow to meet customer schedules, drive performance excellence, and foster a positive and productive team environment. You’ll be a key player in ensuring safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Brazonics, Inc. is a brazing, machining and engineering company based out of Hampton, New Hampshire. Brazonics specializes in dip and vacuum brazing combined with highly sophisticated chassis testing. Our distinct process goes beyond traditional capabilities to deliver durable and highly efficient thermal solutions to aerospace and commercial industries. This position provides the right candidate with an exceptional opportunity to grow their manufacturing engineering career. The selected candidate will support the Thermal and Electronic Solutions team within Mission Systems and the individual will play a key role in the organization as they prepare for facility relocation.

The Durham location is a brand-new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which includes:

This position will work between the existing Hampton and newly opened Durham locations while the facility relocation is finalized by August 2026. This role will be expected to work 4 days in Hampton and 1 day in Durham on average until facility relocation is completed.
This position will be expected to work within the production floor 80 % of their work week and 20% at their desk on average. The work hours for this position are 6:00am- 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience in the aerospace industry or similar manufacturing environment

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Working experience and knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement tools to champion and drive change
  • Working experience with ERP systems such as EPICOR and Quality systems
  • Project team leader
  • Development and Talent leader

  • Promote and support all EH&S, CORE, Ethics, and Training programs; ensure compliance with corporate and legal standards
  • Manages team of primarily entry and intermediate technical and production employees within to lead, coach, schedule, and develop production staff to ensure high engagement, flexibility, and capability
  • Drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement to ensure all quality related items for department are complete and documented to meet or exceed established quality standards, customer expectations and production targets
  • Provide visible, supportive leadership on the shop floor—solve problems, remove barriers, and ensure daily commitments are achieved as well as communicate clear goals, expectations, and feedback to employees
  • Lead and participate in investigations and root cause analysis for safety or quality concerns
  • Communicates and collaborates with parties within and outside of own department, which may include external customers or vendors to meet shared objectives
