SUPERVISOR OF DISTRIBUTION 1ST SHIFT / FULL TIME 80 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD ( 2 WEEKS) MIAMI VALLEY HOSPITAL The Supervisor reports directly to the Materials Manager. The Supervisor oversees the receipt and distribution of supplies throughout the hospital, and all off-site locations. Responsibilities include payroll, policy & procedure enforcement, performance appraisals, coaching, inventory management, scheduling, and oversight of staff. The supervisor will assist the manager in interviewing, hiring, orientation and training of staff. The Supervisor acts as a key member on Strategic Improvement & Sourcing Project teams through the Sourcing department. The Supervisor will assist the Manger with the oversight of the Clinical areas (Radiology, Cath Lab, Surgery/SPD) in Maintaining and controlling inventory values @ $3 million per area. The Supervisor will assist in the management of the satellite ED’s. The Supervisor responds immediately to all customer complaints or issues with finding resolutions, the Supervisor should gain knowledge and expertise in the Lawson MMIS system and have knowledge of all the roles in the department for oversight. The Supervisor will have twenty-four (24) hour responsibility to the department to respond to any needs or concerns that may arise, along with weekend coverage for any concerns or issues. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Licensure/Certification/Registration Supply Chain Certifications preferred Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Prior specific functional responsibilities: Two (2) years of experience in materials & inventory management is preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills Computer skills including Materials Management Information Systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Excellent problem solving and communication (oral/written) skills.
