Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 pm - 4:30 am with rotating on call weekend work based on business need. We offer 8 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be 9:00 am - 5:00 pm from Monday - Friday. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for emergency department registration staff Have a working knowledge of computer applications Demonstrate, leadership and analytical thinking capability Requires working knowledge of insurance including Commercial Contracts, Managed Care, and Government Programs including Federal, State, and local agencies Have knowledge of basic medical terminology Organizes workflow to ensure accurate and timely team performance Supervises the work schedule, always ensuring adequate and appropriate coverage of all positions Selects and delegates training and orientation of new staff Assigns staff responsibilities and evaluates performance Counsels’ employees on problem areas of registration and performance You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED Must be 18 years of age OR older 2+ years of experience with working in a hospital patient registration department OR physician office setting 1 + years of supervisor / management OR team lead experience in healthcare Experience with verifying patient insurance Working knowledge of medical benefits and medical terminology Ability to work full time onsite in the emergency department at California Hospital Medical Center, 1401 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90015 Ability to train for the first 8 weeks between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm from Monday - Friday Ability to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 pm - 4:30 am from Monday - Friday with rotating on call weekend work based on business need. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in ER Registration Bilingual fluency in English and any other language Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
