Overview Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the domestic violence shelter, ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-maintained environment for residents. This role involves supervising associates at the shelter, coordinating services, and implementing policies and procedures to support the shelter’s mission. Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities Supervise and train shelter associates, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development. Ensure the shelter operates smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization. Oversee the intake process, ensure residents receive appropriate services, and address any issues or concerns that arise. Develop and enforce shelter policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Respond to emergencies and crises, providing leadership and support to staff and residents. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on shelter operations, resident services, and staff performance. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates. Position Requirements Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred Licenses/Certifications: N/A Experience: 3+ years of leadership experience in a shelter or similar environment and knowledge of domestic violence issues and trauma-informed care practices Skills & Abilities: Superb communication skills Ability to handle crises and make sound decisions under pressure Excellent organization skills Min USD $18.00/Hr. Max USD $22.00/Yr.
