REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (AS EVIDENCED BY AN ATTACHED RESUME):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and two (2) years of full time directly related administrative experience in warehouse/shipping/receiving management may be considered. Two (2) years of full-time administrative experience in Warehouse Operations or inventory. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google applications. Supervisory experience (supervision of students may be considered). Frequently moves items, such as equipment, packages, and/or furniture up to 50 lbs. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver’s License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with a diverse student population. Experience working in higher education. Experience with staff training and/or development.

Campus Residences, at Stony Brook University, is seeking a Supervisor of Warehouse Operations to oversee all aspects of Warehouse operations. The Supervisor of Warehouse Operations reports to the Associate Director of Safety and Support Services. The incumbent is accountable for the administrative management and coordination of activities related to the overall operations and services of the Campus Residences Warehouse. This position assists with the supervision of 5 full-time state classified and 20 temporary student employees. Work involves occasional exposure to elements like inclement weather and extreme temperatures. Incumbent must be able to adapt easily to changes in operational procedures and/or technology. Incumbent must be detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
