Supervisor, Operating Room Entity: Aga Khan University Hospital Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: The Department of Anaesthesia at the Aga Khan University Hospital provides perioperative care and other operating room facilities for all surgical procedures, intensive care to critically ill surgical patients in the surgical intensive care unit, as well as acute and chronic pain management services. Our department has a mix of anesthesiologists, qualified nurses, and highly trained surgical and anesthesia technicians. Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Supervisor, Operating Room. Responsibilities: You will be responsible to: prepare and maintain preference cards of respective specialty on an annual basis Check and ensure guidelines provided in the surgeon’s preference card for the operative procedure are followed maintain inventory of equipment and instruments including reuse / single-use items updated in his assigned specialty ensure OR preparation according to the list to assess needs and fulfill resource demands ahead of time ensure all preoperative preparation of OR as per requirement participates in checking and maintenance of capital equipment Train and prepare specialty team to circulate and scrub in the complex/major procedure independently a minimum of 3 – 4 staff per year updated PPM of equipment and reported findings to the Head Nurse and Assistant Manager facilitate the process of item evaluation and arranging alternative medical surgical items in case of unavailable items in coordination with the Assistant Manager. Requirements: You should have: Intermediate, Bachelor’s degree will be preferred Diploma in OT Technician At least five years of relevant experience from a reputed healthcare organization ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently and handle work pressure good communication skills.
