POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager, Assets and Compliance, this role ensures the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the power system. The Supervisor provides technical and operational support to the FortisBC Control Centre, with a focus on NERC compliance, SCADA/RTCA systems, outage analysis, and operator training.

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and BC Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS) related to system operations and training.
• Provide technical support to Control Centre Operations, including SCADA/RTCA systems, system outage analysis, and NERC compliance.
• Lead the scheduling and coordination of operator training to maintain CEH hours and NERC certification.
• Optimize crew output through effective training, work planning, and scheduling.
• Continuously update operational and training materials to reflect changes in standards, policies, and procedures.
• Support the Operations Manager, Control Centre, during emergencies and in day-to-day operations across Generation, Transmission, and Distribution desks.
