Position Summary: The Supervisor of Nursing assumes responsibility and is responsible for the entire nursing operational functions. Additional responsibilities include; assigning Nursing personnel using established guidelines combined with knowledge of patient acuity. Evaluates oncoming shift for staffing needs and acts accordingly. On Call Holiday Rotation. Primary Responsibilities: Assigns Nursing personnel using established guidelines combined with knowledge of patient acuity. Daily supervises staff Evaluates oncoming shift for staffing needs and acts accordingly. Assesses Nursing staff for adequate orientation and training and communicates to Director of Nursing. Communicates with Nurse Manager regarding activities of Nursing personnel. Required: Graduate of an approved school of Nursing. Two years experience in appropriate clinical setting Current RN or LPN Licensure in State of Michigan Preferred: Previous management/charge nurse experience
