SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, Outlook, Excel and Word, manifest systems and either AS400 or HP based warehouse management system
  • Ability to manage time and attendance software for payroll/attendance purposes
  • Knowledge of Cirrus Shipping System
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively coach, counsel and discipline when required demonstrating honesty and fairness to staff
  • Ability to interact and carry out responsibilities under general supervision and maintain a professional demeanor. Ability to interact at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity and function as an effective team member.
  • Good leadership, planning, and ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolve.

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in a leadership capacity in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • Experience with warehouse equipment including conveyors, tapers, strappers, box erectors, RF guns
  • Strong customer experience and results orientation

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge/Skills in Oracle
  • 2 years college or Associates
  • Bachelor’s Degree concentration in business, supply chain management, or logistics
  • Knowledge of general inventory processes
  • Forklift experience
