Your voice matters, your growth is prioritized, and your success is celebrated.   Position Summary: Lead and manage the Category Management Support Tactical Team by providing strong supervision and clear direction to ensure operational excellence, business continuity, and compliance with established policies and procedures. This role focuses on optimizing support for Category Management within Americas Procurement, driving team performance, and delivering business value through effective resource management and strong stakeholder collaboration. Additionally, the position champions innovation and continuous improvement by developing and implementing solutions that enhance the analysis of parts impacted by commercial change orders and improve request-for-quotation (RFQ) efficiency. This position is also responsible for strengthening operational standards, ensuring the seamless activation of new and existing parts within the commercial change order process, and achieving key business metrics—while coaching and motivating team members to reach their full potential and support broader organizational goals.   Job Responsibilities:  * Staff Management and Development - Leads comprehensive employee development and performance management initiatives by conducting regular performance evaluations, providing coaching, and implementing development plans. Drives team excellence through identifying training needs, monitoring progress, and fostering a positive work environment. Ensures compliance with Vertiv policies, including performance reviews, recognition programs, and disciplinary procedures while promoting employee engagement and ethical conduct. Focuses on building team capabilities and maintaining high performance standards through structured development activities and regular feedback mechanisms.   * Operations Management and Service Delivery - Directs operational performance and service delivery through tactical resource management and proactive workforce planning, focusing on SLA targets and key metrics. Drives excellence through effective shift coverage optimization while maintaining systematic capacity management and workload balancing. Implements robust operational controls for attendance and develops data-driven solutions to meet fluctuating business demands. Partners with management to optimize team structure and headcount alignment, ensuring sustainable service standards through performance monitoring. Establishes reporting frameworks that enable continuous improvement in service delivery and operational effectiveness across all business activities.   * Stakeholder Management - Builds and maintains strategic relationships with internal customers, business partners, and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery and business value. Drives cross-functional collaboration by establishing effective communication channels and fostering partnerships across organizational units to achieve shared objectives. Develops strong business relationships through regular engagement while ensuring prompt resolution of stakeholder concerns and procurement-related issues. Implements feedback mechanisms to measure internal customer satisfaction and facilitates cross-functional initiatives to enhance process efficiency. Maintains transparent communication for service updates and performance reporting while managing expectations across different business units. Balances competing priorities and drives continuous improvement in stakeholder relationships through regular reviews and tactical adjustments, ensuring alignment between procurement activities and business needs. * Continuous Improvement and Innovation Leadership - Drives operational excellence by identifying, developing, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance purchasing processes and team effectiveness. Champions a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging creative problem-solving and process optimization initiatives from team members. Analyzes operational data and trends to identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows, and implement best practices that increase efficiency and reduce costs. Leads change management initiatives by developing implementation strategies, monitoring progress, and measuring success through defined metrics. Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate and integrate new technologies, digital tools, and automated solutions that modernize procurement operations. Empowers team members to contribute improvement ideas while providing guidance and resources to transform concepts into practical solutions.
