POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Manager Production, maintaining clear communication and providing regular updates on project progress, key metrics, and challenges
  • Ensure compliance with all CPKC regulations, standards, and safety protocols in the execution of assigned projects, across all team members and direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and accountability
  • Conduct thorough investigations into breaches of CPKC policies, safety practices, and procedures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of optimized workflows and process enhancements to deliver ongoing efficiency and performance improvements
  • Evaluate planned capital work, validate material readiness, and confirm execution strategies to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time, with expenses covered by CPKC
  • 100% travel (expenses are covered by CPKC)
  • Proven ability to lead and execute project plans and schedules effectively
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams to achieve goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Thorough knowledge of collective bargaining agreement (CBA) is necessary to manage work flow. Candidates with a solid construction and/or manufacturing management background will also be considered.
