POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing plant floor resources to ensure our production goals are met or exceeded. The successful candidate will lead their team to drive improvements in quality, cost, and delivery while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably rubber or polymer production. Candidates who cannot demonstrate a minimum of 7 years supervising in a manufacturing environment need not apply.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act – First Aid certification is an asset
  • Grade 12 minimum, College education preferred
  • Experience working in an environment with similar processes as Polycorp Ltd is a definite asset. Examples include Hot Presses, Extrusion or Calendering.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production operations and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Lead and mentor production staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Optimize workflow, equipment utilization, and workforce allocation for maximum efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination in meeting customer demands.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, ensuring a culture of health and safety compliance.
