Our I&S Village Experience team are currently seeking a Supervisor of Projects. The role will be reporting to Superintendent Village Experience. This role is 7/7 or 8/6 FIFO roster and be flying into multiple sites in the Pilbara.

Responsibilities
  • Mobilise, overseeing and coordinating allocated project personnel (including contractors), to ensure all tasks are executed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Monitoring and reporting actual work completion against scheduled plan
  • In collaboration with the project team actively review project documents generated to ensure they are logical and realistic, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Act as primary point of contact during execution with all operations and interfaces, including the reporting and management of safety issues, incidents and hazards

As a Projects Supervisor, you are required to:

  • Ongoing commitment to Zero Harm through Field Leadership, endorsement of quality Risk Assessments and Critical Control Verification;
  • Demonstrate Visible Leadership through understanding of material risks and on site vigilance including Hazard / event identification and investigation;
  • Co-ordinate the contractor site mobilisation process in compliance with the Pre-mobilisation checklist;
  • Monitor and manage contractor’s compliance with their Safety Management Plan and Hazard Register;
  • Monitor and manage contractor’s record of hours worked including fatigue management;
  • Prompt completion of supporting and reporting documentation and 1SAP administration;
  • Provide Day‐to‐day on‐site supervision of contractor and sub‐contractor groups to ensure that technical and quality standards are achieved safely
  • Monitor planned site progress and contractor resource capability and capacity;
  • Coordinate with other Site Supervisors and Operational/Maintenance personnel to manage impact on other site activities and minimise impacts to village residents;
  • Positively engage and liaise with Project Engineers and Engineering to resolve technical queries/ design inconsistencies;
  • Fulfil the role of Site Responsible Person and manage the contractors mobilisation and performance through the Contractor Management Framework.
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act, Work Health and Safety Regulations, Mine Safety and Inspection Act, Mines Safety Inspection Regulations as a Schedule 26 Appointed Person;
