Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Propane Distribution Supervisor on a permanent basis at our branch in Melfort, SK. Are you an experienced driver or tradesperson looking to step into a supervisory role? Whether you have experience in the propane industry, or are interested in learning more about it, this is a great opportunity to use your operational and trade knowledge in a meaningful way. What you’ll do: Monitor and track each driver’s delivery route daily to ensure they are being completed as efficiently as possible, suggest adjustments to routes. Focus on load optimization by carefully monitoring delivery statistics per truck (liters delivered per drop, liters delivered per Km travelled) and make adjustments accordingly to increase efficiency. Ensure that the preventive maintenance program is being performed on each delivery unit and all required inspections are completed and documented in departments filing system. Raise any missing reports to the driver and escalate to their supervisor if required. Daily collaboration with CRC Supply and 3rd party Transporters to ensure sufficient product is allocated and delivered in a timely manner. This is achieved by maintaining the Allocation Worksheets in a timely manner. Keep back-office computer system up to date to maximize accuracy of forecasting tool when preparing daily delivery schedule needed to maintain an adequate supply of bulk propane in each customer tank and reduce run outs. Ensure all inquiries from existing customers or concerns regarding deliveries are resolved and handled in an efficient and timely manner. Inquiries related to new services or add on sales will be referred to the Service and Operations Supervisor. Who you’ll work with: The Team: You will supervise a team of Propane Drivers and will report into the Operations Supervisor. The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting rural, commercial, and residential propane customers. Who you are: You are looking for a career in operations and: Have 5 years of experience in propane or a related commodity. Have a high school diploma or post-secondary education (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Preference given to individuals with a Class 3A or 1A license; must be willing to obtain if you currently do not have. Consider yourself to be customer-oriented, organized, and hard working.
