Essential Functions:

  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs.
  • Innovates and implements robust quality control procedures, meticulously inspecting products and analyzing critical data to uphold excellence.
  • Conducts thorough internal and external audits to maintain commitment to superior quality.
  • Leads dynamic teams dedicated to enhancing quality and operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates closely with various departments to swiftly address quality issues and ensures compliance, strengthening our commitment to outstanding service.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates risks while managing audits, ensuring all quality benchmarks are met before products reach our customers.
  • Spearheads development and implementation of comprehensive quality management systems and standards that drive success.
  • Guides and motivates employees to optimize production volume, manage costs, and ensure timely delivery without compromising on quality.
  • Analyzes quality data to uncover trends and insights that inform future strategies for improvement and propose corrective actions.
  • Monitors key performance indicators in order to make calculated decisions and improvements as necessary within sub-department.
  • Designs and enacts innovative procedures and processes that yield tangible results and elevates quality standards.
  • Maximizes efficiency and productivity among supervisors and production workers, driving a results-oriented environment.
  • Collaborates with management to establish effective working schedules across departments, enhancing overall workflow.
  • Maintains accurate records of departmental activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Ensures the efficient and economical use of materials while improving methods and eliminating wasteful practices within the department.
  • Responsible for developing and establishing goals for assigned sub-department and staff.
  • Utilizes extensive technical knowledge to make decisions and accomplish department goals.
  • Mentors technician and quality control staff in order to meet performance expectations.
  • Ensures quality expectations and standard operating procedures are followed by working closely with quality control staff and technicians.
  • Ensures high productivity by problem solving and delegating turnaround time schedule.
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Follows up on specific requests made by the doctors and ensures prescriptions and preferences are followed.
  • Hires, oversees, develops, reviews, and sets goals for department and staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, recognizes, and acknowledges positive and productive behavior, and provides constructive/corrective feedback for performance issues.
  • Assists, trains, guides, and supports team members in areas of problem solving, decision making, process improvement, and professional growth in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensures the team understands the performance standards of their department and has a clear understanding of their own individual performance.
  • Enforces adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Handles employee relations matters including but not limited to performance management and enforcement of corrective or disciplinary actions. Partners and coordinates with Human Resources in a timely manner on all employee relations matters.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a dental background (dental technician or CDT) and at least two (2) years of team leadership or supervisory experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATION:

  • Certified Dental Technician a plus.
