As a Supervisor Quarry, you will play a key role in leading and following up on daily operations at our olivine deposit. You will be the immediate manager of the quarry personnel and be responsible for work management, production, safety and quality in daily operations. In this role, you will manage the development, functioning and improvement of the Quarries, taking into account the local regulations, permits and the agreed cost budget, in order to ensure an efficient and safe continuation of operational activities. The position reports to the Manager Production. Responsibilities: Assist in managing the Operations activities in the Quarry according to the Operational Excellence principles and in a safe way. Follow up the Quarry activities to develop a safe working behaviour. Follow up continuous improvement. Follow up subcontractors’ activities. Ensure a safe work environment at the Quarries according to Sibelco’s safety regulations. Assist the Quarry Manager to guarantee a Zero Harm approach to operational safety. Maintain a competitive cost position, reduce costs, increase site yield, better value- products and improve processes. Follow up specific KPI’s per unit. Follow up regional KPI’s on continuous improvement. Execute operational activities within the budgeted Opex and Capex prescriptions. Raw material, maintenance, energy, FTE and by-products/wastes as main Opex drivers. Assist Quarry Manager to meet the yearly COS budget approved by the Management. About you Certificate or technical education in mining engineering, construction operations or equivalent Leadership experience from industrial production, quarrying or construction operations High focus on HSE and safe work culture Good oral and written presentation skills in Norwegian and English are a requirement Good computer skills are necessary Ability to lead with clarity and respect that creates a good and inclusive work environment Preferably education as a blasting manager or willingness to acquire the expertise Why Join Us?
