Assists in the supervision and development of staff; provides input into planning and monitoring of department operations and staff competency assessments; assists in meeting budgetary goals and performs other administrative executive functions as required. Job Description: EDUCATION: Other: Graduation from an AMA approved respiratory care program CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 5 years of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge in current Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary services technologies for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations and their respective applications. Knowledge of the Joint Commission regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Title 22 regulations, Respiratory Care Practice Act, Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines, Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations, and Consumer Assistance Programs (CAP) regulations. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with medical professionals and supervise personnel in a variety of situations. Ability to plan, direct, control, lead, and evaluate department activities in the area of responsibility. Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities. Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
