  • Immunization Continuing Education required if immunization services are provided and if required by state in which the employee works

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Leadership: Supervise the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring seamless workflow, patient safety, and achievement of key performance indicators.
  • Problem Resolution: Oversee the resolution of daily clinical, administrative, and operational challenges, troubleshooting and resolving service recovery issues and escalated concerns within established policy timelines.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement and enforce robust quality control/assurance measures to ensure all activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner, in full compliance with organizational values, professional standards, internal policies, and all applicable legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Program Development: Participate in the development and implementation of new systems and programs to enhance existing services, continuously raising the standard of care for our patient population.
  • Team Management & Development:
  • Schedule, supervise, and evaluate the work of assigned pharmacists and ancillary staff (e.g., interns, technicians, non-pharmacy staff).
  • Identify and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet budgetary and operational objectives, managing overtime and premium pay effectively.
  • Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and provide comprehensive training to new staff.
  • Manage and evaluate staff performance, conducting regular staff meetings to communicate performance standards and ensure successful job performance.
  • Approve timecards accurately and efficiently.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Monitor third-party reimbursements to optimize pharmacy profitability, escalating issues to the Director/Manager as needed.
  • Monitor and approve expenditures within your defined scope of responsibility and annual budget.
  • Explain variances and address budgetary impacts in a timely manner, informing senior management of potential issues.

As the Supervisor, you will be instrumental in the daily oversight and strategic development of our retail pharmacy services. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring the safe, appropriate, and efficient delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic patient care while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
