Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities The RN Supervisor for Postpartum and Pediatrics provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and team performance. This role is responsible for managing staff scheduling, daily assignments, and productivity while setting clear expectations and maintaining accountability through coaching and corrective action. The RN Supervisor promotes exceptional patient experience by conducting regular rounding and implementing effective service recovery strategies. They lead educational initiatives, including skills and drills training and competency validation, to ensure staff readiness and compliance with clinical standards. Additional responsibilities include performing chart audits to maintain documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance, facilitating monthly team meetings, managing delegate assignments, and ensuring clear communication across the unit. This position plays a key role in fostering a collaborative, people-first environment that supports both patient care excellence and professional development. Qualifications Job Requirements: Active Texas RN License Associate’s degree in nursing BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care NRP ACLS PALS Preferred Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in nursing 2+ years of experience
