Job Roles / Responsibilities: The responsibilities will include: To protect life and property by providing safety cover and assistance to all the patients, visitors, employees and students of AKU within the Perimeter of his assigned area. Function as Team leader for all guards in his area of responsibility and ensure that the staff carry out their duties effectively. Perform duties of Control supervisor/ Ward supervisor as and when required. AUTHORITIES ASSIGNED (State authorities delegated for financial matters or other decisions-if applicable). Check personnel, Vehicles if there is suspicion of violating institutional policies. Affix Parking / Traffic violation Stickers on cars and clamp/impound defaulting vehicles. Arrest defaulters of law and order and hand over to Law Enforcement Agencies through department if required. Check gate passes of items being taken out of AKU and detain those being taken out without Gate Pass. Exercise effective supervision of all guards in his area of responsibility and ensure that the staff carries out their duties effectively. Provide security assistance to the staff, students, visitors and patients and own staff when called for. Carryout periodic check of the guards on duty to ensure alertness and vigilance through physical as well as CCTV monitoring. Promptly report any incident, fire, accident and / or theft to the AC or Control supervisor on duty. Exercise vigilance and see that no unauthorized person enters the area of responsibility. Keep the control supervisor informed of all security matters within his area of responsibility. Compliance for Race/Pass protocols Assist Security Guards in public dealing and when assistance is sought by them. Assist and escort Police and Law Enforcement personnel with in AKU premises when asked to do so by the SIRC/AC or AM Security. Carry out investigation of incidents taking place in their tenure of duty when directed by the AC or AM Security. Escort employees and students within the hospital, when requirement on required basis. When performing the duty of ER supervisor cover the Medico Legal cases which arrive at the ER as per the ML Policy. Monitor CCTV footage and react to the situation. Use the CCTV footage as evidence for the investigation, as and when required. Operate various types of road blocker and barriers. Perform any other Tasks assigned by Assistant Manager/ Manager Security OC&OP. Carry out the duties / tasks assigned outside AKU premises. Impart training to both FTE and OS security staff. Handle and operate fire fighting equipment available in AKU. Carry out the duty of an AC and Control Supervisor on required basis. Requirements: The applicant should have: Matric (Preferred) Minimum of 2 years’ experience as trained soldier/combatant in the Pakistan Armed Forces, Rangers, Frontier Corps, Frontier Constabulary, Coast Guard or Police at the level of Junior commissioned Officer (Non Commissioned Officers with 6 years and Sepoy with 10 years service with AKU). Civilian having at least 15 years experience in Security Management. Experience and service SSG & Intelligency units would be preferred. Computer literate. Efficiency in handling small arms i.e. Rifles and Pistols. Efficiency in handling communication equipment i.e. Wireless sets & Telephones. Ability to drive preferred. Ability to comprehend the CCTV footage and use it as evidence. Ability to operate various types of barriers and blocks. Must be able to read and write Urdu fluently. Physically fit & in good health. Must be Medical Category "AYE" (Fit in all respects). Proficient in Supervisory Skills. Proficient in communication & investigation skills. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.

The Supervisor, Safety and Security is responsible for protecting life and property by providing safety cover and assistance to patients, visitors, employees, and students. They will lead a team of security guards, ensure effective duty performance, and handle incidents as they arise.
