POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supervisor of Sales and Master Data plays a critical role in driving the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of core business data that supports the sales function. This individual will oversee the creation, management, and governance of key master data sets such as customer, product, vendor, and pricing information ensuring alignment across departments and enterprise systems. The Supervisor will also manage a team of specialists responsible for supporting sales operations and maintaining critical timelines. In this dynamic role, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, IT, Operations, and Creative teams to uphold data integrity and enhance business processes. A strong understanding of the fragrance industry’s unique workflows and terminology is essential to effectively support internal and external client needs.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the fragrance industry, with a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics, client requirements and product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and customer relationship management.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with the ability to mentor, guide, and support a team in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems; experience with SAP, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic business setting.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Master Data Management: Oversee the integrity and maintenance of master data, including customers, products, vendors, and pricing. Ensure data is accurate, complete, consistent, and maintained according to established standards.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Implement and enforce data governance protocols to ensure consistency and compliance across systems and departments. Establish controls to support audit readiness and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of one master data analyst and seven sales support specialists. Lead day-to-day operations related to project management, data entry, updates, cleansing, and validation. Provide coaching and performance feedback to promote professional development and team effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, IT, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies, support initiatives, and continuously improve data-related business processes.
  • Pricing Management: Oversee the setup, execution, and maintenance of pricing structures and strategies used to generate quotes and contracts. Ensure pricing accuracy and timely updates within ERP systems and sales tools.
  • System & Process Optimization: Ensure effective utilization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Identify opportunities to enhance system workflows and automate data management processes where appropriate.
  • Industry Knowledge & Application: Leverage deep understanding of fragrance industry workflows, terminology, and customer expectations. Act as a knowledgeable partner to Account Managers, Perfumers, Evaluators, and Operations teams to support the commercial process.
