JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supervisor Maintenance Service and Assembly leads all service and maintenance activities within the Assembly department. This role blends technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and maximum production uptime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing the Assembly maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Overseeing preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance for assembly equipment, automation, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing service orders to minimize production disruption.
  • Monitoring maintenance KPIs such as downtime, PM compliance, and work order completion.
  • Partnering with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensuring OSHA, NFPA, and internal safety compliance, performing risk assessments, and leading 5S audits.
  • Managing spare parts inventory to enable timely, cost-effective repairs.
  • Driving continuous improvement to enhance reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset lifecycles.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree or 3-year technical apprenticeship in electronics, mechatronics, or industrial mechanics (advanced technician/master craftsman training preferred).
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing (medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of assembly automation and equipment maintenance.
  • ERP/MES system experience plus proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, allocate resources, and meet targets.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
