EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in the food service industry, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Customer Service, baking and decorating experience

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in operating a POS system and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 22 kg to a height of 1.7 meters

SOFT SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Supervisor is to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations within the store, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, food quality, and team performance. The Supervisor will lead by example, motivating and guiding the team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining efficiency and adherence to company policies and procedures. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering delicious food experiences.
Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor include, but are not limited to, the following:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including food preparation, service execution, inventory management, and POS system procedures.
  • Ensure that all customers receive outstanding service and have a positive experience.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation. Monitor food preparation processes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train new team members on procedures, menu items, customer service standards, and safety protocols. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Oversee the preparation, mixing, frying, and decorating of donuts to ensure consistency in quality and presentation according to Lee’s Donuts’ recipes and standards.
  • Step in to assist with dough preparation, frying, glazing, and decorating as needed, especially during busy times.
  • Monitor daily order sheets to determine the required quantities of donuts and ensure production goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide feedback to staff members regarding customer service, baking, and decorating efficiencies, areas of improvement and boosting team morale.
  • Ensure team responsibilities listed in the daily task schedule are taken care of by the team.
  • Monitor sales and make adjustments in real time to minimize waste and maintain profitability (Staff picks, upsell techniques, leaving some donuts undecorated if over forecasted, sales growth initiatives, etc).
  • Be an immediate presence to provide a higher level of customer service for any issues or concerns and ensure the team is providing service with a smile.
  • Adjust and manage team schedules during the shifts to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts. Provide support to Store Manager on staffing levels.
  • Monitor and update employee timecards to ensure accurate recording of hours worked.
  • Address any discrepancies in timecard entries promptly.
