Responsibilities

YOUR MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise, plan, organise, and delegate work to your designated workshop team.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and optimum work execution advice for complex activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with rail and other sector clients, including providing clear progress updates.
  • Oversee inspections, strip downs, repairs, rebuilds, testing, and final inspections for a variety of rotating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control, EHS standards, and company reporting requirements.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Recognised Electro-Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent) with valid certification.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with rotating equipment, including motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, and associated systems.
  • Proven track record in supervising and managing multi-skilled engineering teams.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, including root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Competence in using MS Office and producing clear, accurate, and detailed technical reports.
