To assist the Regional Manager in providing effective management of all grounds maintenance services to sites in the designated region and ensure head office and customer communications are maintained on a frequent basis and in an open way. All services are to be delivered through the direct reports within the area and within set budget and in accordance with ISO and HSEQ Guidelines.
o Deliver all grounds maintenance services within the region under direction of the Regional Manager to ensure Team Leaders are fully trained and motivated to lead the teams in correct standards in accordance with specification
o Report budgetary equipment and consumables requirement to the Regional Manager so he can optimise best value and lowest cost to ensure savings can be passed on to customers.
o Maintain clear communication channels with customer site and regional management to develop positive relationships
o Manage the activities of sub contract labour ensuring compliance to UKL processes related to sub contract requirements and quality of service prior to payment release
o Participate in monthly Operational Management Meetings as required as delegated by the Regional Manager to report performance and KPI delivery against plan
o Identify potential new opportunities to drive sales and add value by cross selling into existing revenue streams
o Stand in for the Regional Manager in his absence
o Ensure that all work activity is carried out in accordance with ISO 9001-14001-18001 requirements
o Work under the direction of the Regional Manager to ensure site audit programme is achieved and that all actions/issues identified during audits are addressed (to achieve average scores of >75%).
o Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule (PPM) is completed to programme and to the designated specification by the grounds maintenance teams – with non compliance reported to the Regional Manager
o Ensure that all quotation requests (PPM and Ad Hoc) are completed in line with set response times to achieve SLA’s.
o Carry out periodic activity audits to ISO standards to carried out with all potential non conformances and corrective actions and reported to the Regional Manager
o Review local areas performance and make suggestions to bring about improvement across all areas of accreditation
o Respond to outcomes of periodic ISO consultation process and feedback suggestions to the Company
o Ensure all recruitment and leaver actions are compliant with due HR/payroll process
o Review local waste control process and take corrective action in event of non compliance
o Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management
o Excellent organisational skills to manage operations efficiently
o High degree of flexibility in working hours
o High degree of mobility – travelling throughout the area
o Ability to work remotely with good level of self sufficiency
